U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) issued the following statement regarding the confirmation and swearing in of Dr. Tom Price as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services:

"Dr. Price has been a strong conservative leader in Congress and has been fighting to relieve hardworking American families from the burdens of Obamacare since its inception. I am confident that as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services he will be successful in working with Congress to repeal Obamacare, and to implement a 21st century health care system. It has been fulfilling to work alongside Dr. Price on the Budget Committee. I am also honored to have followed in his footsteps as a Chair of the Republican Study Committee. I look forward to working with him in this new capacity as we work to rebuild America's broken health care system with reforms that improve affordability and expand access to high-quality care focused on patients, not Washington."
